Clemency Applications (Governor's Pardon)
Please visit the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons website for the application process and instructions. You will need to request copies of your court documents from the Clerk of Courts Office.
Procedure for Court Document Request
You must call the office at 724-430-1253 to pre-order any files that you will need copies from. We currently hold files from 2008 to present. If your records were prior to 2008, they must be pulled from storage and will take at least 1-3 days to retrieve.
Please inform the staff member that you are applying for a pardon and need to obtain copies from the files(s). You must provide the docket number(s) of the case(s) that you are applying for and your telephone number.
If you do not already have your docket number(s), they can be found on the Pennsylvania Unified Judicial System website.
Once the files are pulled, the documents will be copied and the staff member will contact you at the telephone number that you provided to give you the total amount due. Copies are provided at $0.25 per page, which can be paid by cash, check, or money order.
You will be provided with a copy of the Criminal Complaint and Affidavit of Probable Cause, Information, Plea or Verdict, Sentence Order, Release from Supervision (if available), and proof of payment in full.
Please be advised that you MUST appear in person with a valid Photo ID or Driver's License to pick up the copies. A third party cannot pick up for you unless it is the attorney of record on the case. We do NOT accept mail, fax, or email requests.
The office address is 61 East Main Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. We are located on the 1st floor directly across from the Sheriff's Department.
The files and copies will be held for one week before the copies are destroyed and the files are returned.
*If you require certified copies, an additional $10.00 per case will be added to the copy fee.
