The database is accessible through the Fayette County Economic Development page.

Uniontown, PA - Fayette County has officially launched a property database to support ongoing economic development initiatives.

Fayette County Commissioners Dave Lohr, chairman; Vince Vicites and Scott Dunn, along with Economic Development Coordinator Mark Rafail introduced county municipal leaders to the database earlier this year, but have now opened it up to property owners countywide.

“It is our hope that this list becomes the one-stop location for developers and businesses; a single source for all types of businesses - from small, family-owned startups to major corporations - to find the perfect location in Fayette County,” Rafail said. “We’re seeking development that brings jobs to the area. This could also open up properties for market-rate housing construction that is very needed here.”

The goal of the project is to create a central database of vacant land; commercial or industrial buildings; or other properties for sale, rent or development in Fayette County. By completing a survey available on the county website, proprietors can list their parcels in the database and receive free marketing assistance.

“The benefit of a database is twofold. First, we’re attracting new development and increasing our tax base,” Rafail said. “Second, it benefits not only Fayette County, but existing property owners, as they can market their property to a wider audience at no cost.”

Interested property owners can find the necessary survey and other information on the Fayette County Economic Development page, All information provided will be used for the sole purpose of development and marketing. No information will be sold.

For immediate economic development assistance, additional forms, or to send interior and exterior property photos along with your completed survey, please contact Mark Rafail at or 724-430-1200, ext. 1501.

“If we help anyone sell, rent, relocate, open a new business or develop land, we’ll positively impact our entire community,” Rafail said. “If you have a vacant building, overgrown field or even a small space within your existing business that could help create jobs or fulfill someone’s dream of becoming a business owner, the few minutes it takes to complete the database survey will be well worth it.”
