Fayette County Department of Assessment

Overview

The purpose of the Tax Assessment Appeals Board is to hear and decide on petitions of 40 day and yearly appeals. The board hears testimony, then sets a valuation on property.

Meetings

  • Time:  Meetings are scheduled as needed to hear appeals brought by property owners or taxing bodies. 
  • Location:  Hearings are held in our Gallatin Bank Building, 2nd Floor, located at 2 West Main Street, Uniontown. 
  • Meeting Notices:  Legal notices are posted in the Herald-Standard newspaper when meetings are scheduled.  Meetings are open to the public.
