German Township

General Character

German Township is located in the eastern portion of Fayette County along the Monongahela River, approximately 14 miles north of Uniontown. The Township has a predominantly rural character with many small settlements dotting the landscape. The signs of past industry are also visible throughout the Township. Many of the settlements are former coal towns and the remnants of the coal industry can be seen across the Township.
